Frequently Asked Questions
Is LiteLüvr just LED strips in shutters?
No, and the difference is visible the moment you see it. The light begins deep inside each louver, then passes through built-in diffusion layers so it emerges as a soft, shadow-free wash. There is no glowing strip, no hotspots, no hardware reading as an add-on. What you see is the louver itself, quietly luminous.
What does a room actually feel like with LiteLüvr?
Calmer. For most of the day your window is the room’s brightest surface, then after sunset it becomes the darkest. LiteLüvr keeps the window present. The louvers cast a warm, low glow back into the space, so the room stays layered and inviting without another lamp on another table.
What color temperature is it?
Warm White sits at approximately 3200K, close to incandescent, the light you want in the evening. Bright White is approximately 4000K, clean and contemporary for work and task spaces. Both dim across the full range, so a single window can carry a room from bright morning to a low amber wind-down.
How do I control it?
Touch the control surface. That is the whole gesture. The LiteLüvr app adds scheduling by panel, window, room, or the entire home, along with sunrise and sunset simulation, so your windows can brighten with the morning and soften as the evening settles.
Does LiteLüvr replace my overhead lighting?
It is not meant to. LiteLüvr adds a layer most rooms have never had, light from the window plane rather than the ceiling. For many spaces that means reaching for the harsh overhead far less often, and giving designers a genuinely new surface to work with.
Is it built to last?
Yes. The LED arrays are rated for 50,000 hours and individual louvers are replaceable, which matters for hospitality and commercial projects. Frames are solid cellular PVC with a hardened shell finish: flame retardant, water repellent, termite proof, and UV resistant.
